Emergency measures have been initialised. The timestamp on the terminal's error reporting display shows that the incident occured long before my intrusion.
Electrolyte acidity test positive! Acidity slug detected! Release alkaline neutrality fluid into solution tank!
A recent scan shows a small alien lifeform crushed in the machinery below. Equipment all round it has corroded.
There is a hiss as the alkaline solution floods the facility's pipes. Machinery strains, trying to break free of the blockage in the gears. With an unsettling snap, the production facility comes back online. The remains of the lifeform must have been washed free of the mechanisms.
The air takes on a curious acidic tang. Fragile wires in the terminal corrode rapidly. The display shorts out, and then shuts down entirely.
A frenzied chemical reaction can be heard somewhere beneath my feet. The terminal - and the rest of the facility - shuts down entirely.
